The synopsis of War, Inc. from the official movie Web site:
Recreating his role as a hitman, John Cusack gives a hilarious performance in "War, Inc.", a political satire set in Turaqistan, a Country occupied by an American private corporation run by former U.S. Vice President (Dan Aykroyd). In an effort to monopolize the opportunities the war-torn nation offers, the corporation's CEO (Sir Ben Kingsley) hires Hauser (Cusack) to kill a Middle Eastern oil minister.
now, struggling with his own growing demons, the assassin must pose as the corporation's Trade Show Producer in order to pull off this latest hit, while maintaining his cover by organizing the wedding of Yonica Babyyeah (Hilary Duff), an outrageous Central Asian pop star, and keeping a sexy left-wing reporter (Marisa Tomei) in check.
Opens today at the Tribeca Film Festival. Watch for and it in major theaters in late May, 2008. And without further delay, here's a tasty trailer and a couple of scenes from the flick:
Anjelica Huston and John Cusack are mother and son who are both small-time con artist in The Grifters, a most distrubing pychological study of people living on the edge - always trying to cut corners, grabbing any opportunity for easy cash.

DISCLAIMER: Yes, the reason why I watched this film in the first place was because my imaginary boyfriend (you may know him as John Cusack) has a small supporting role. However, that fact has little bearing on my opinion that this film kicks ass...it merely supports my opinion. So rent it already, wouldja?!?
This 1994 film is mandatory viewing for any self-respecting Gen-Xer. Written and directed by Peter McCarthy, who previously produced Sid and Nancy, Repo Man, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka and Tapeheads, Floundering tells the story set in post-riot LA of a hapless young man who just can't seem catch the train of his life.
Mostly verbatim from IMDb.com:
In this scathing and subversive social comedy, life in post riot Los Angeles is dissected under the sardonic eye of John, an unemployed thirty nothing flounderer on Venice Beach who is trying to figure out what to do with his life. John can't be bothered with apathy, but no matter how much he wants to help people, he is too immobilized to do anything useful. Haunted by chronic insomnia and impending sense of doom, all he can do is watch, and John is an avid observer. Through his voyeuristic binoculars, he struggles to make sense of all the alienation and disaffection he sees in his neighborhood. In his journal he meticulously chronicles the mundane down to steadfast march of ants across his kitchen counter. John is desperately trying to keep one meaningless day from blending into next. He compulsively watches homemade videos of LA riots looking for a clue. But everywhere around him the city's social fabric is coming apart at the seams, and now it is John's own threadbare life that's about to unravel.
I heart Tapeheads! I saw it the day it came out to show my support for my imaginary bf, John Cusack. His long-time friend Tim Robbins co-stars, plus there are so many cameos you'd wet your pants. (Or something equivalent to that. You know what I mean.) As soon as I left the theatre I high-tailed it to Tower Records and picked up the soundtrack (on cassette) due to the extreme awesomeness of the Swanky Modes. The fact that the tape also had Fishbone, Bo Diddley, King Cotton, Devo and so on, well it was a done deal.
From IMDb.com:
After being fired from their jobs as security guards, Josh and Ivan form Video Aces, a video production company. Using Josh's talent and Ivan's business savvy, they attempt to hit it big in the business while doing projects they want to do. Among those whose paths cross with theirs are Norman Mart, an extremely right-wing presidential candidate; Samantha Gregory, a scheming music reporter; and Mo Fuzz, a producer willing to give them a chance or three if they'll work on spec.
Video Aces' "Roscoe's Chicken n' Waffles" commercial (King Cotton is Roscoe):
Mo Fuzz tells Ivan he has to shoot a music video "on spec" for a band called Cube Squared (Devo track performed by actors):
